American Sewing Guild

Here's the link to The American Sewing Guild. We stopped at their booth at the Quilt Show in Ft. Lauderdale. There is a local Ft. Lauderdale chapter with several 'neighborhood groups'.

Morikami exhibit worth visting

Mariko Kusumoto at the Morikami

The two exhibits on at the Morikami through May 6 are worth us visiting on one of our Odd Tuesdays.

Mariko Kusumoto makes these intricate assemblages boxes with printmaking processes on metal.
Many of them feel like mixed media pieces and are detailed mysterious.

At the same time is a display of Japanese prints, modern versions that are fascinating.

My membership lets me bring in one guest for free. (And tiny discounts in cafe or shop if we buy there)
