American Sewing Guild

Here's the link to The American Sewing Guild. We stopped at their booth at the Quilt Show in Ft. Lauderdale. There is a local Ft. Lauderdale chapter with several 'neighborhood groups'.

Morikami exhibit worth visting

Mariko Kusumoto at the Morikami

The two exhibits on at the Morikami through May 6 are worth us visiting on one of our Odd Tuesdays.

Mariko Kusumoto makes these intricate assemblages boxes with printmaking processes on metal.
Many of them feel like mixed media pieces and are detailed mysterious.

At the same time is a display of Japanese prints, modern versions that are fascinating.

My membership lets me bring in one guest for free. (And tiny discounts in cafe or shop if we buy there)

Article on Creativity

Here's an interesting article on creativity. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203370604577265632205015846.html?mod=googlenews_wsj

(Ken found it and forwarded it to me, thought you may enjoy it.)

Have a fun, creative day, no matter what you're doing!

Belinda's UFO day - pics to be continued!

So, I was late picking up Gina coz I forgot to figure in driving time when scheduling my get-ready activities...

And then I forgot her books to return...

And my camera....

J's piece with additions by G and B

After our catchup session we started playing with watercolors - at one point trading pieces and working on each others.

I think I like it cropped in a bit

And we left our fabric experiments drying outside.

B shared her garden bits - Rainflower? Lilies, and Night Blooming Jasmine

And here's the gladiolii bulbs I'm sharing with y'all (forgot those too!!)

So On Friday we'll meet at the quilt show in Fort Lauderdale and I'll try to remember all those forgotten things.

Next Odd Tuesday at my house (Jackie) April 17th for potential Dye-Na-Flow play...
