Gelli-ing in the studio
We had a productive day making Gellli plate backgrounds to share. We will be mailing them off by July 8th to mailmesomeart.blogspot.com for trading.
B and Jackie creating with the Gelli, Belinda's new silicone rolling pin is a welcome tool for the larger plates instead of a brayer.
We are looking forward to our exchange and hope the recipients like our pieces.
Gina's oops paper that we all liked very much.
Belinda's rust colored creation with the large 12X14 plate.
Elizabeth's final products after adding gold pen marks to the red/orange paper.

Fired!
Last Tuesday's clay creations hot from the oven ......
So what will become of them? There's Belinda's forest, Jackie's doll, Elizabeth's angel.....

Odd Tuesday Clay Day
First was exchanges, catch up and discussion .... then in show and tell we had two fabulous cards today. Jackie trimmed one of the pieces in Gina's packet, made some cut-outs to show the lower layer and glued some cut-outs from the lower layer to the top layer, very clever and effective! She curled the wire bits that were included in the packet to go with the clay embellishment .....
Elizabeth created Tea in the Garden! The postcard that I had included (Gina speaking here) was not used for a stiffener as I had expected, but became the focus of this piece. E is so good telling stories with her work!
Elizabeth's note: the first photo below is of the raw materials and then the postcard made from them. Not all the supplies were used, however.
Clay time followed....
tools.....
...pieces drying, waiting for their kiln time...
and one of the non-clay participants of the day..... Jackie snapped this photo of Cleo "waiting for Ken"...

Plastic Recycling Dumpster
- Trash to Treasure now accepts plastics #4-7 in our plastic recycling dumpser.
- Please recycle your #1-3 in your curbside recycling bin. Our dumpster fills up quick so we like to conserve the space for plastics that can not be recycled at the curb.
- We have partnered with a recycled plastic pallets manufacturer who uses our materials. The plastic pallets last longer than wood, use a recycled material, and weight less which means a smaller carbon footprint for shipping materials!
- Drop off your rigid plastics #4-7 during business hours or anytime in the dumpster in front of our warehouse.
- No plastic bags - please bring these back to the grocery store
- No styrofoam - please bring styrofoam to Edge Logistics
- No plastic film - only rigid plastics please.
Paper Recycling Dumpster
- We also have a dumpster in front of the warehouse for recycling cardboard and paper only.
- Please break down the boxes before putting them in the dumpster.
Things we DO NOT accept:
• Large Items - we are a small organization with limited space in our warehouse. If you have large items please call us first to see if we can accept them or if we can help you find another appropiate home for your donation. • Plastic Bags - please take these to a grocery store to be recycled unless you have colorful ones. We like to use the colorful bags for crochet.
• Furniture - we do not accept anything that a thrift store will accept. We are trying to fill the recycling void. We sometimes accept shelving though for use to display items in our warehouse. Please call and ask before bringing.Click HERE for a list of local thrift stores that accept furniture.
• Electronics - Please take your electronic waste to thehazardous waste drop off. Click here for locations.
